This session will offer introductory discussion for participants aimed at leveraging their existing experiences to secure work as an Assignee. The discussion will focus on the basics of Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors (ABCs), including a review of state-specific rules and requirements to serve as an Assignee and the variety of work and duties an Assignee can expect to perform. The session will also offer insight into the goals of an ABC as contrasted with bankruptcy, receiverships, and other restructuring vehicles.
